Hello my name is Ray and I am a local San Marcos pickleball coach with over 11 years of playing experience and over 8 years of teaching experience! With over five decades of experience, I have established myself as a versatile and dedicated professional coach in a variety of sports including baseball, basketball and pickleball. My journey in coaching began several decades ago and over the years, I have had the privilege of mentoring/instructing hundreds of students, guiding them towards achieving their athletic goals and also maximizing their potential. I became a PPR Certified Pickleball Professional back in 2018 which was a significant milestone in my coaching career. This certification has enabled me to broaden my horizons and to reach a wider audience. Since then, I have instructed pickleball students in 6 states (Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas).
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a very supportive and motivating environment, tailored to each student’s unique needs and abilities. Throughout my career, I have earned high praise from both my students and fellow instructors. My commitment to excellence and my ability to inspire and connect with athletes of all ages and skill levels have been consistently recognized. My coaching style combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for the sports I teach, ensuring that my students not only improve their skills but also develop a lifelong love for the game. Whether I am on the baseball diamond, the basketball court or the pickleball court, my goal has always been to help my students achieve their best. My extensive experience, coupled with my dedication to continuous learning and improvement, has made me a highly sought-after coach and mentor. I’m looking forward to continuing to share my knowledge & passion for sports with new generations of athletes for many years to come!
I am offering fun private pickleball lessons, semi-private pickleball lessons, group pickleball lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot (dink), approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be happy to help you with your game!
I teach pickleball lessons in the San Marcos area but I will also travel up to 15 miles to a pickleball court that is conveniently close to you.

Semi-Private Pickleball Lessons (2 Players): $45 Per Hour Each
Group Pickleball Lessons (3+ Players): $40 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $45 Per Hour
