About Layton Pickleball Coach Ary

Hello my name is Ary and I am a fun, local Layton pickleball coach with over 4 years of playing experience and over 2 years of teaching experience! I am also a PCI Certified Pickleball Professional. I am a 5.5+ level pickleball player and professional coach based in Utah with experience coaching players from beginners up to high-level competitive athletes. I currently coach at a private country club in Park City and have previously coached at multiple Picklr locations, country clubs down in Arizona as well as players all throughout Utah.

In addition to being PCI certified, I am also P4 certified through The Picklr as well. I am both a Selkirk Emerging Pro and AMPED Pro. As a competitive pickleball player, I have competed successfully in 4.5 and 5.0 tournaments and currently play and train at the 5.5+ level. My background as a high-level athlete has shaped the way I teach. I focus heavily on movement, positioning, consistency, shot selection, strategy, and understanding how to just construct points rather than just simply learning individual shots. Every lesson is tailored to the player’s current level and goals. For developing players, I focus on building strong fundamentals, consistency, positioning as well as confidence. For advanced players, we can work on resets, drops, drives, speedups, counters, backhand flicks, transition-zone play, patterns, and higher-level match strategy. My goal is to identify the areas that will make the biggest difference in your game and give you the practical tools and drills to continue improving outside of lessons. Whether you want to become a stronger recreational player, move up in rating, or prepare for tournament competition, we’ll build your training around those goals. I teach pickleball lessons in the Layton area but I will also travel up to 15 miles to a court near you!

Coach Ary's Testimonials

"Ary is a top-level coach who brings such a fun, high-level environment! I’ve done many lessons with him, and he has drastically improved my game! I specifically wanted to develop my backhand flick and two-handed backhand, and he even watched gameplay of mine outside of lessons to see how I was applying what we worked on! Those shots have now become some of my biggest strengths, and I’m playing around the 4.5 level! Ary understands the game extremely well and is one of the best players I’ve seen at creating angles and space with his shots!"

Coach Ary's Testimonials

"I started working with Ary as a complete beginner, and in about four months he helped me progress to nearly a 4.0 level! He has improved my dinking and drop game tremendously while teaching me how to play strategically, recognize what opponents are doing, and know when to be aggressive! What stood out to me from the beginning was his personality! Even as one of the highest-level players in the area, he treated everyone as an equal and always brought great energy to the court! He makes learning and playing pickleball extremely fun!"

Coach Ary's Testimonials

"I started working with Ary two months ago at a 3.4 DUPR after friends recommended him to help me prepare for a 4.0 tournament! He trained me four times beforehand and went beyond simply improving my shots—he helped me understand my opponents and develop specific strategies for how to play against them! I ended up taking second place, and Ary even came to watch the tournament on his own time! Since then, my DUPR has climbed above 4.0! His lessons are planned with a purpose, and he teaches the strategy and mental side of pickleball along with strong fundamentals! I plan on continuing to work with him for a long time!"
