About Walnut Creek Pickleball Coach Oliver

Hi my name is Oliver and I am a fun, local Walnut Creek pickleball coach! I am also a local tennis coach with over 50 years of playing experience and over 35 years of teaching experience. I am also a PPR Certified Pickleball Professional (Level 1). I grew up in Germany, where I started playing tennis at the age of 6 and then quickly found success, winning the Youth Championship at TC Lindau for men’s singles, mixed doubles and secured 2nd place for the men’s doubles. I was part of the youth development program & also competed at a high level. After moving to California in 1990, I continued playing competitively from 1990-1996 at 4.5 and 5.0 USTA NorCal winning several tennis tournaments while still building my coaching career. I enjoy working with players of all ages and skill levels. My coaching style focuses on helping players improve their technique, strategy and confidence-all while keeping the game both fun and rewarding. Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time, looking to fine-tune your technique or wanting to stay active with a fun, social sport, I offer personalized lessons. With a main focus on skill development, strategy and enjoying the game, whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics, an experienced player aiming to level up or just someone that’s wanting to stay active with a fun, social sport, I offer private pickleball lessons at local courts or at your location. Let’s get out onto the pickleball court and work toward your goals together. I teach pickleball lessons in Walnut Creek at our private courts but I will also travel up to 10 miles to your private court/courts near you!
